The Royal Northern College of Music

The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), situated in the centre of Manchester, specialises in training students for the professional music business. It offers a range of courses to suit a student's needs and you can specialise in many areas including, composing, conducting, voice, violin, guitar, trumpet, trombone, percussion, flute, clarinet, piano, organ and many more.

The RNCM has about 600 students in total - both undergraduate and postgraduate – from over 50 countries worldwide. This creates a vibrant international community where students can study in a friendly and supportive environment. The College offers superb facilities and top quality training and education delivered by a strong, international tutorial staff, in order to equip the students - the musicians of tomorrow - for a rapidly changing professional musical world.

When can you visit us?

During the academic year the College hosts two Open Days. The first is in late September/early October and the second is in late April/early May.

Admission is free but by reservation only. Early booking is advised and our online booking service opens two months prior to each Open Day.
