Here is a rough guide to the types of qualification that most universities look for as evidence that you could manage a university course:
- AS and A levels
- Advanced Extension Awards (AEA)
- Applied A levels
- NVQs (Level 4 and above)
- BTEC National Diploma
- Scottish Highers
- Irish Leaving Certificate
- Kite-marked Access Certificate
- Advanced Apprenticeships
- International Baccalaureate
- City and Guilds Certificates.
- Kite-marked Access to Higher Education courses
- Foundation Degrees
Mature students (over 21) with relevant work experience are considered depending on the course of study.
Some students will be given credit for previous study under the Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS) or Accredited Prior Learning (APL).
