Higher Education Maintenance Grant
The Higher Education Maintenance Grant is worth up to £2,835 a year. This annual grant is to help with the costs of living and studying. You do not have to repay this grant. The amount you receive depends on your income and the income of your family. New students coming from poorer backgrounds will get more financial support.
If your household annual income :
• Is £25,000 or less, you will be entitled to the full amount of grant.
• Is between £25,000 and £60,005 you will receive a partial grant.
• Is over £60,005 you will not receive a maintenance grant, but will be entitled to take out a student loan.
