Don't

  • Ignore extra sources of funding - hardship loans and access funds are there to help but you won't get them automatically you will have to apply for them.

  • Spend beyond your means - this may be easier said than done but sometimes you can't have everything or go out every night.

  • Use your credit card to get cash if at all possible as this is a very expensive way of getting money.

  • Forget that you are not alone and there are people to help you manage your money.
