Getting down to work

If you are studying full or part time you will have a timetable of lectures and other formal sessions so you will find you will soon have deadlines to meet.

If you are studying by distance learning it will be important to set aside enough time for your work - contact your tutor if you need help or advice.

Make sure you know how many pieces of work you have to complete and what your deadlines are - if you get into the habit of missing deadlines you are more likely to be stressed so break down work into manageable chunks and don't allow yourself to be distracted.

Be realistic about your first pieces of work - most students take a while to get into the swing of university level work - just learn by your mistakes and remember you will be given advice about how you can improve your work
