Once you have passed your course, you will be invited to a graduation ceremony, which is held to celebrate your achievement.
At the graduation ceremony you dress up in formal gowns, which can be hired just for the ceremony. Each university has its own unique colours and styles of cap and gown.
You can invite members of your family and friends to watch the ceremony, which will be held in a large hall, perhaps on campus. Each student is applauded as they cross the stage to receive their award.
There are often photographers at the ceremony who can take good quality photographs of each new graduate.
