You will need to provide references and enclose them with your application forms, so make sure that you leave time to get these back before the forms are due in. If you are at school or college, the references will be from teaching or tutorial staff. If you have already left school or college, your reference could be written by an employer, careers officer or someone who understands the demands of university life and knows if you will be able to meet those challenges.
